roundtable

In every organization one of the key-assets is its human resources. It is not sufficient any more, only taking machine or material availability into account in operational management  and control. The availability of the right people at the right place and right time is a major factor affecting nowadays supply chain.

The required flexibility and reactivity to changes induced by customers and market has a huge impact on the availability requirements of skilled human resources.

At the same time a dramatic change in ‘working’ attitude and expectations arise, this in combination with recent and upcoming drastic legislational changes
concerning working times, conditions and responsibilities. Tight integration of workforce management into supply chain management and control - including strategic, tactical and operational workforce planning  is mandatory.

Optimal Employee performance, employee satisfaction and retention of skilled personnel is one of the crucial success factors in today’s business.
New ways of steering and rostering employees as well in production and distribution as in service oriented organizations have become available and will be
discussed in the Istanbul round table session.
