More than half of supply chain executives think their supply chains are only “moderately agile” or “not agile at all”, according to the results of a survey released today by ICRON, a leading provider of Optimized Decision Making and Supply Chain Optimization software solutions. The survey – taken by over 100 supply chain executives at the 20th annual EMEA Supply Chain & Logistics Summit & Expo last month in Amsterdam – showed that 49% of respondents think that their supply chains are “moderately agile” and nearly 6% view their supply chains as “not agile at all”. Only 10% said their supply chains are “fully agile”, while 35% reported that their supply chains are “very agile”.

When asked whether their company is more “planning-oriented” or “decision-oriented”, 43% said that their company is “mainly decision oriented” and 12% reported that their company is “fully decision-oriented”, while 43% think that their company is “mainly planning-oriented” and 2% said their company is “fully planning-oriented.
