Istanbul, 20 August 2019– ICRON, a leading provider of Optimized Decision Making and Supply Chain Optimization software solutions, today announced that the implementation of its Detailed Scheduling solution in Şişecam Group’s glass packaging business in Russia has been given an award by Şişecam. Ruscam, Şişecam’s glass packaging company in Russia, won the “Stars of the Year” award in the “Corporate Development and Operational Excellence Projects” category at Şişecam Group’s annual corporate awards ceremony in Istanbul. The winning project involved the deployment and adaptation of ICRON’s Detailed Scheduling solution for the requirements of the company.
A total of 159 projects within the Şişecam Group – a major, global manufacturing conglomerate with businesses in flat glass, glass packaging, glassware, glass fiber, and chemicals – competed for this year’s “Project of the Year” awards, which is an internal award platform.
The “Project of the Year” award in the “Corporate Development and Operational Excellence Projects” category was given to Ruscam, Şişecam’s glass packaging company in Russia, for its “Production Planning and Scheduling Project”. The award winning project aimed to improve the company’s capability to integrate and optimize the planning, scheduling, and decision making processes across the operations of its five production plants in Russia.
Thanks to ICRON’s Detailed Scheduling solution, the project that yielded successful business results received the honors at the award ceremony.

The Detailed Scheduling Solution supports Ruscam’s management and other key stakeholders to:

Producing specially designed glass packaging of various volumes and colors for the food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics sectors, Şişecam Glass Packaging Group has a history that dates back to 1935, when the first plant was founded in Paşabahçe-Beykoz.
